Many areas in Colorado require that permits be obtained for tented events over a certain size. Bella Rents will help you by submitting, on your behalf, an application for permitting to the designated Fire Department, complete with appropriate fire retardant certificates, a full site plan, and a scaled floor plan of the tent(s) with the proposed rental equipment layout.

Note, that generally, permits are necessary for tents in excess of 200 square feet.

Some of the items below are required to apply for a tent permit, other items are not, and our event specialists at Bella Rents can assist in obtaining the proper permits and making your event safe and successful.

When applying for a permit, Bella Rents provides:

• Computer-aided Design (CAD) site plan of the tent or canopy including all outlying areas. CAD drawings depict exits, parking areas, fire extinguisher location(s), and any buildings or other structures in proximity.
• Permit application to be signed by client, Bella Rents only facilitates the permitting process.

For the day of the event, Bella Rents provides, but is not limited to providing:

• Portable fire extinguishers
• Exit signs
• Occupant load to be posted on tent
• An electrical inspection and approval by an electrical inspector, if necessary
• Illumination (capacity over 100 persons)
• Exit illumination requirements (capacity over 100 persons)
